The first annual Pride Awards from Pride in Surrey

We laughed, we cried, we danced, we sang, we remembered and we celebrated!

The 2024 awards ceremony was held on the evening of Thursday 15th February at the Mandolay Hotel in Guildford. 
Curated by the directors of Pride in Surrey and presented by founder Stephen A Ireland the ceremony brought together community leaders, advocates, allies, and organisations to commemorate the progress made in embracing and supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

The LGBTQ+ Lifetime Commitment Award Presented to Hazell Dean.


The Queen of HiNRG and Patron of Pride in Surrey - Hazell Dean is awarded the 'LGBTQ+ Lifetime Commitment Award'.


An event was held at The Zodiac Bar & Club in London, celebrating 40 years of Hazell's hit single "Searchin'".


At the event, directors Charlie Watts and Craig Spencer joined Stephen Ireland (Founder of Pride in Surrey) on stage to present the award which was a huge surprise for Hazell who's message to everyone is always 'Turn it into love'.

A night of celebration and recognition at the first annual Pride in Surrey Awards!

The Pride in Surrey Awards brought together community leaders, advocates, allies, and organisations to commemorate the progress made in embracing and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. From outstanding contributions to inspirational stories, this event recognised and honoured those who have made a remarkable impact within Surrey's LGBTQ+ community.
